M Lissoni

M Lissoni is a transdisciplinary artist based between South London and the South of Italy. Their research-based practice focuses on the sacred as a tool to transcend personal authorship and embody collective ritual. Their work explores memory, cultural erasure, gender, and mourning to document in-between identities. Their interest in collecting fragments of material culture, religious iconography, and oral histories is rooted in alternative archiving practices, transfigured into installation, sculpture, text, and books. 

M is the founder of STIGMATA, an independent platform intersecting publishing and public programming, facilitating exchange between contemporary artists through a transnational lens. Their work has been showcased internationally at Lismore Castle Arts, Fabbrica del Vapore, ICA, and Barbican Centre.
